ENZYME
HISTORY

Rooted in Japan's deep tradition of fermentation, the enzyme bath is a natural wellness practice developed in the mid 20th century.

Using rice bran, herbal ingredients, and the power of microbial fermentation, it creates gentle, natural heat that envelops the body.

Over time, enzyme bathing had been embraced in Japan as a holistic ritual for relaxation, recovery, and inner balance.

KOSO
HISTORY

Enzyme bathing has been practiced for decades to support circulation, detox, and deep relaxation.

Our journey continued in Kyoto, Japan, where we trained in the art of enzyme bathing - learning not only technique, but the philosophy behind it.

The experience was shaped under Hakko Ningen, a highly respected enzyme bath specialist, where reservations are often booked months in advance.

Today, KOSO SPA brings the authentic Japanese practice to Los Angeles, reimagined through a modern, refined experience.
